Terms of Service

Clippa is operated by N10K Quests (OPC) Private Limited. By using Clippa you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.

1. What Clippa does

Clippa records your screen and camera in your browser and produces a single video file. Recording and downloading happen entirely on your own device - the video does not reach our servers unless you choose to upload it. Uploading a recording, storing it, and giving it a share link are the parts we run for you.

2. Your account

You need an account to store recordings and create share links. You do not need one to record and download. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us at hello@tryclippa.com if you think someone else has access to it.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must give us an email address you actually control.

We may change what each plan includes; if a change reduces what you already pay for, we will tell you before it takes effect.

4. Payments, renewal and refunds

Pro costs $20 a year, plus any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you live, which is shown at checkout before you pay. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments as the merchant of record: they are the seller on your receipt, they take the payment and collect the tax, and we never see your card details.

Renewal. Pro renews automatically every year, charged to the same payment method, unless you turn renewal off - at checkout, or at any time on your account page. Turning it off stops all future charges, and Pro stays active until the end of the year you have already paid for. If the price changes, we will tell you before it applies to your renewal.

Refunds. If you are not happy with Pro, email hello@tryclippa.com within 14 days of being charged - for your first purchase or for a yearly renewal - and we will refund that payment, less the processing and refund fees our payment provider charges, which are not returned to us. You do not need to give a reason. A refund also cancels that subscription and ends Pro. After 14 days, payments are not refundable, except where the law requires it.

When Pro ends. If Pro ends without renewing, your recordings keep working for 30 days, so you can download them or renew. After that they are archived: share links stop working, but renewing brings everything back. 60 days after that, archived recordings are deleted permanently. During the first 30 days we email you a reminder every week.

Nothing in this section takes away rights you have under the consumer law where you live.

5. Your recordings stay yours

You keep all rights to everything you record. By uploading a recording you give us permission to store it and to serve it to people who open its share link - that is all, and only for as long as you keep it with us. We do not use your recordings to train anything, and we do not look at them except where you ask us to for support or where we are legally required to.

An open share link works for anyone holding it. Unless you put a password on it, a link does not ask who is opening it, and anyone you send it to can forward it. Treat an open link like a key. Passwords are available on any recording if you would rather not.

6. Recording other people

Screen and camera recording is regulated in many places. You are responsible for having whatever permission the law requires where you and the people in your recording are - including consent to record voices, faces, meetings and anything confidential on your screen. Do not use Clippa to record people without their knowledge where that is unlawful.

7. Things you may not do

We may deactivate an account that does these things. A deactivated account cannot sign in, and every recording it owns stops playing immediately - the content is not deleted, so an account deactivated by mistake can be restored exactly as it was. We may also delete content that breaks these terms or the law. If you believe your account was deactivated in error, write to us.

8. Availability

We try to keep Clippa working, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption, and we may change or discontinue features. Recordings on the free plan are deleted automatically once their retention period ends - keep your own copy of anything that matters. Downloads are always available to you at the moment you record.

9. No warranty

Clippa is provided "as is". We make no warranties, express or implied, about the service or the results of using it, including that it will be error-free or that a recording will always succeed.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, N10K Quests (OPC) Private Limited is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost or deleted recordings arising from your use of Clippa. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Clippa and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account also cancels your Pro subscription, so you are not charged again; time already paid for is refunded only as section 4 allows. We may end your access if you break these terms. When an account is closed, its recordings are deleted from our storage.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use Clippa after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Maharashtra have jurisdiction.
